PROGRAM SUPPORT
Your donation will go to support our technology and leadership programs:
MOUSE Squad is a school-based youth technology support and leadership program that trains and supports teams of teachers and students in establishing and sustaining technical support help desks. MOUSE Squad helps level the playing field by training underserved middle and high school students to learn information technology and technical support skills, and prepares program participants for post-secondary education and workforce readiness through technical training, curriculum, job shadowships, and leadership and career development activities.
MOUSECORPS is a youth development program designed to support the growth of leadership and career readiness for students through opportunities like advanced training, Job Shadowships, College Bound workshops, and Experiential Learning Projects (ELP). The program opens corporate doors to participating students by connecting them with mentors in the profit sector at Fortune 500 companies. As MOUSECORPS members, students participate in workshops and activities that are designed to build self-esteem; and develop leadership, communication, technology and academic and career- readiness skills
TechSource is the research and evaluation arm of our programs that gathers essential information about the impact of our programs on participating students, schools and community partners.
ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
Champions of Technology & Education Awards Gala Sponsorship: In October 2007, MOUSE will celebrate its 10th Anniversary, and honor champions from the public, private, and education sectors who have made a significant impact in technology and education, and on the lives of thousands of students participating in our programs. Sponsorship of this event highlights the importance and value of fostering relationships between public and private partners to help support the 21st century educational and professional needs of youth.
TARGETED PARTNERSHIPS
Target your corporate resources to support one of the following program partnership opportunities:
Job Shadowships: MOUSE provides an opportunity for high-school students to experience a corporate work environment and receive career mentoring by conducting an after-school IT job shadowship program where participants "shadow" employees from local, corporate IT departments. The program provides an invaluable hands-on learning experience for qualified and committed MOUSE Squad students to learn first hand about the field of technical support and other technology career pathways. Current partners include American Express, Citigroup, Credit Suisse First Boston, EMI and UBS, and we are actively soliciting new partners for this program.
Internships: MOUSE is working with our partners to provide our high school students with paid summer internship opportunities. We are seeking to expand this program so that MOUSE Squad students can build upon their classroom learning experience by having high-quality career development opportunities.
In-Kind Donations and Partnerships: MOUSE partners with a variety of educational companies and institutions to enhance our programs and provide our students and schools with additional opportunities and resources. Please visit our partnerships page for a current listing of our collaborations:
