What interested you in becoming involved in Mouse?

Omar has always had a passion for technology. He was excited to join Mouse at his school to expand his technology skills and to help people at the same time. “What I like most about technology is programing and designing because it is really fun and creative.”

What have you enjoyed most about the design process?

Being involved in the design process has helped Omar “see the world in a new way.”  He especially likes “when everyone is working together and when they see how their project could help people.” Omar feels this experience has enriched his high school experience and shown him the importance of teamwork. “I’ve learned how to work in groups, when to lead and when to follow.”  

What are your career ambitions?

Omar is fascinated by how technology has greatly affected the health care industry in the past decade. He plans to study medicine and technology in college, he aspires to improve the medical world and help people by developing human-centered design innovations. “Being involved with Mouse showed me everything I can do with technology.”
